2021-2022 Season Update

Hello SMRHL membership,

You will be receiving an email from either your captain or from the league (for players new to the league). There will be details on payment amounts and procedures in the email.

We are excited to announce that the City of Surrey has sent us our ice schedule for the 2021-22 season.  We will play our first game on Monday, September 6th and our final game will be on Monday, March 28th (Championship Night).  This years season will consist of 29 games excluding an Exhibition. We will play all our games at Surrey Sports and Leisure Centre (SSLC) except for on December 20th when we will play at North Surrey.

League Fees:     Payable by Friday, August 13th, 2021.  

The Player Draft will take place between sometime between August 23rd & 27th.  Once it is finalized, the Captains will be advised and we will post on the SMRHL website.   Uniforms will be handed out on September 6th.  

Obviously the return to normal play is a fluid situation and could change dependent on the BC Public Health Office.  We certainly hope that everything will go well over the next month. The SMRHL Executive would like to strongly recommend that all players planning to play will get their Covid 19 vaccinations.  In addition, as many of us will have been off skates for longer than a year, we highly recommend that all players check-in with their Physician and ensure they are healthy and cleared to return to the ice this September.
